Orbalux

Secure, Real-Time Environmental & Operational Data in One Platform

A cloud-native SaaS platform for collecting, visualising, and integrating metocean, environmental, and operational data from distributed and mission-critical systems.

Designed for offshore, industrial, and regulated environments where data integrity, security and availability matter.

WHAT ORBALUX IS

A Unified Platform for Metocean and Operational Data

Orbalux is WISE Group's next-generation cloud platform for environmental and operational data management. It provides a single, secure environment for collecting, storing, visualising, and sharing data from a wide range of field systems, including metocean sensors, weather stations, motion and positioning systems, and other operational instrumentation.

While Orbalux has its roots in weather and metocean monitoring, it is designed as a general-purpose operational data platform capable of supporting multiple data domains within a single coherent architecture.

PLATFORM CAPABILITY

From Field Measurements to Operational Insight

Real-Time Dashboards

Configurable dashboards providing live visibility of environmental and operational conditions, optimised for situational awareness and decision support.

Historical Data & Analytics

Interactive graphs and time-series data enabling trend analysis, reporting and post-event investigation.

Data Export & Reporting

Export raw or aggregated data in standard formats for engineering analysis, forecasting workflows and regulatory reporting.

Global Map Overview

Interactive map showing all connected sites and assets with live status and regional context.

Multi-Site & Multi-Tenant Architecture

Designed for operators and service providers managing multiple assets, regions or customer organisations.

SECURITY & RELIABILITY

Built for
Secure,
Continuous
Data Flow

Orbalux is engineered for environments where continuous data flow and security are critical.

All data is transmitted using encrypted connections with outbound-only communication from customer networks. Authentication is certificate-based, and the messaging infrastructure is hosted and managed by WISE Group within an EU-based cloud environment.

This architecture ensures that field systems remain protected, while providing the reliability and scalability required for real-time metocean and operational monitoring.

CONNECTIVITY AND GATEWAYS

Flexible Connectivity for Different Environments

Software-Based Integration

Where systems have controlled internet access, data is securely published directly to Orbalux from the acquisition layer.

Hardware Gateway Option

For high-security or isolated environments, a dedicated gateway provides physical and network separation between on-site systems and the cloud.

Private Connectivity

Optional private peering or VPN connectivity for customers requiring that data remain off the public internet.

OPEN APIs AND INTEGRATION

Designed for Integration and Collaboration

Operational metocean and environmental data often need to be shared across organisations and systems. Orbalux includes a comprehensive API that enables secure integration with third-party platforms, partner systems and customer applications.

Typical use cases include:

  • Sharing data with aviation, marine, and offshore stakeholders
  • Feeding planning, forecasting, and decision-support systems
  • Integrating with asset management and operational platforms
  • Providing controlled access to customers and authorities

Orbalux acts as a single source of truth while giving operators full control over access and data usage.
